I have always loved visiting Oasis in Madisonville until tonight... sat at a table for almost 20 minutes and not one person came to ask for drink orders. I asked a server and hostess to find our server and still waited. We ended up leaving and when I told the hostess we had sat there for 20 minutes, the only response I received was "okay." Very disappointing.
There's not much of a menu. We waited ten minutes before we were acknowledged by a server, even then, I had to ask for service. Waited half an hour for an appetizer. Another half an hour or better for our order. Over charged for a steak the size of a large sausage patty. Seriously, I've had bigger chicken tenders. The only good thing I can say about the steak is that it's was burned evenly. Dry and tough. We weren't offered any salt, pepper, steak sauce, etc. Our sides weren't even served with our food. It was nice seeing outside....the weather was great.
Every meal is done right. Service is outstanding. Even if your meal is to go, they don’t miss a thing. Plastic ware, butter, plenty of their delicious rolls, and portions big enough to share or save for the next day. Salads are fresh. They know how to pack your order so the hot things stay hot and the cold things stay cold. Even the fried okra remained crispy on the trip home. Thanks for making our Mother’s Day meal fabulous! Great experience. Blayde, our waiter, was wonderful, attentive to detail and offered suggestions when asked. The food was really good. My husband and I ordered way too much food but it was all great and we brought lots home!
This was my first time at your restaurant and I ordered the Bayou Pasta dish. I was a little disappointed because it didn’t have but 3 pieces of shrimp in it and the chicken and sausage was overcooked. On another note the waiter and the waitress he was training was super nice and friendly and kept checking our drinks. Hopefully on my next visit I’ll have better luck with the food.
Get new manager who respects and cares about customer service. The one who is there is very rude.
