We waited for almost an hour in line , the kids were so excited and then when we get there the lights only last maybe 5 min . Total rip-off in my opinion. Won’t be going back.

Business response:

We are sorry to hear that your experience at Winter Lights wasn't what we had hoped during our first holiday weekend of the show in its new format. Since your message, we have put in place new measures to prevent the kinds of lines you unfortunately had to wait in, which have proved successful thus far. We hope you'll consider giving us another chance next year and wish you and your family a wonderful holiday season.

We love visiting the NC Arboretum. Unfortunately the Winter Lights experience was extremely disappointing. It is only drive through due to COVID, which would be fine if they had put more thought into the execution. The light exhibit opens at 5:30 PM. We approached the Arboretum from Brevard Rd as instructed and found a line of cars already waiting. We took our place in line (estimate we were 1 mile from the turn into Arboretum) and then inched along for 2 hours! After 2 hours of waiting, we still hadn’t made it to the right ... read more

Business response:

We are sorry to hear that your experience was disappointing. Your feedback is helpful as we look to rectify identified issues. As our first fully ticketed show opened this weekend, we are doing our best to speed up entry and enhance future shows. We have been in consult with the DOT regarding traffic management and will reach out to them Monday for more assistance.

winter lights is a rip off . first they advertise it as $25 per car , then they charge $30 at the entrance . second they dont tell you what station to put if there is any . third, its only a 10 min ride . I felt ripped off .

Business response:

Hi Oscar, I am sorry to hear that there was a disconnect between the expectation we set and the reality of your experience at Winter Lights. We try to always make the distinction clear between the pre-sale ticket cost and the at-gate cost, but that doesn't mean we've succeeded in every instance. And while there is on-site signage related to the radio frequency and our speed limit, it also sounds like we could make both of those points clearer. I appreciate your feedback and will pass your concerns onto Arboretum leadership a... read more

I was a Model for a photoshoot here. Such a peaceful place! The landscaping, rushing water sounds and bridges/sculptures around the area are impressive. I love how the people from UNCA bring their laptops to the park to study sometimes. It's so serene here. Great place to escape the bustle (even tho the "Asheville bustle" is pretty fun lol!) - or to meditate, get some quiet self-care time in, etc. I will always be coming back here for those things.
