NOISY OYSTER I ate at the Noisy Oyster yesterday and all I could think was "What has happened to this restaurant?" It used to be my favorite place to dine but not anymore...the food way to expensive...I spent $9 just in extras such as tea, upgraded baked potato & $2 extra to exchange cole slaw for a house salad. The food was not as good as I remembered & much smaller portions. I was also very unimpressed with the service.
Best seafood in Charleston? Possibly... – We had to eat seafood while visiting Charleston. We ate a lot of the different places downtown. While leaving, we decided to try one more restaurant and it was worth it! They had the best flounder ever!
Not great The Noisy Oyster seems to mainly get by because it's a seafood restaurant in Charleston. The food's a bit overpriced, and not that great. Service has never been exceptional.
Not the cleanest place.... It's hard to write a bad review, in my book....I just know we have so many good restaurants in Charleston. But the Noisy Oyster is not one of them. It's not very clean most of the time. The service lacks too. It has a wide variety of food on the menu, which is one of it's attractions - as well as the huge fake shark hanging up outside. But it's just not worth the trip.
Noisy Oyster This is an unpretentious seafood restaurant. You can sit in the dining room or in the bar area. The food is great, reasonably priced and served with huge portions. The scallops and the coconut shrimp appetizer are very good. Service is spotty. On some occasions it has been very good and on others there have been long waits.
