It was exactly what I wanted...low key and filling.
We frequent Nicollet Diner quite a bit and my last 3 experiences were horrible...1 of them was taken care of by the manager... the 2nd time I let it ride but just this past Sunday was the absolute worst dining experience ever...I had friends in town who wanted something different...The food is delicious and wait time varies....there were 7 people in my party and 2 of us had hair in our food...Our server was kinda slow but very pleasant when he heard about issue...The food was taken back, made a 2nd time and there was still h... read more
Came in for late night breakfast and the first time we didnt get oor food for 1.2 hours and just now it took 1:45 mins and we didnt even get our food because we left. There were people that came in after us that got their food before us...on top of it, we said we were leaving and the "manager" asked if we could leave "at least leave a tip for the server" ...smh.... are we not supposed to sit at the bar and get a booth???? What a waste of time.... gotta love leaving a restaurant hungry...
Frist time, but I want be going back... Hamburger and fries .... half an hour, over cooked, pieces of over cook fries.. I was so disappointed, I return to show the waiter, he expressed apologies and agreed to give more over fries....back to 'Five Guys' . I am not one give reviews, period. but I felt this one was deserving

Mikaila was the best waitress. Variety of food. Breakfast all day. Chicken pesto sandwhich was delicious. Pecan waffle and pancakes are good as well. Reasonably priced. We will return before our trip is over.
Typical diner food done right. The staff is fun and friendly. If your out on the town late at night or early in the morning. This is the place to go
Ordered the Sam's Special which is homemade Rueben hash and eggs. The dish was over flavored with rosemary... way too much rosemary. Not enjoyable and a little spendy for breackfast ($14.95) .
