Beautiful location, friendly staff, excellent food.
If you want out of the Waikiki commotion and a low key hotel... This is your spot. Really great little beach, nice park, and you can walk over to Diamond Head.
We have been enjoying the New Otani Kaimana Hotel for 20 years. We love this hotel & wouldn't stay anywhere else. It is small, quiet and hospitable. The staff is caring and professional. They have beach towel service & beach toys to rent. It’s far enough away from Waikiki to be peaceful, however, if you want shopping, restaurants, crowds, international market place you can walk 1 mile. Hau Terrace Restaurant is simply delicious 😋. I recommend 100% to stay here.
Loved our stay here. Room was small, but the bed was comfortable, and the ac was very quiet. View was of the parking lot, but you could see Diamond Head and a sliver of beach between our building and the next. Food was phenomenal! Beach is quiet, and the water is warm and protected. Staff is the friendly and attentive. On the quieter side of Waikiki, which we like. Definitely coming back, but maybe to a bigger room.
Great place to stay out of the hustle and bustle of Waikiki, yet walking distance to town. They were able to move us into an ocean view room. Guest services were congenial. We ate in the Miyako Restaurant and had a great meal with great service. It always endears the wait staff of Japanese descent when my son speaks Japanese with them. The best part was going swimming in the ocean off the beach in front of the hotel.
The hau tree lani is one of my favorite spots for brunch. The atmosphere is soooo soothing and relaxing .
