Fantastic place - very accommodating- hosted our cigar group yesterday and all were pleased , I had lunch there yesterday as well and it was awesome with the prettiest bar in all of Amador County
The best bed and pillows that I have slept on in a long time. Very attentive staff. Gorgeous bath room. Dinner at Stanley's Stakehouse delicious.
The food was great! Cheeseburger not greasy and the onion rings were the best I have had in a long time (they actually used the right onion - Hawaiian sweet onion)!!! Martin is were going too!!
We held a Last Dinner on the RMS Titanic at Stanley's Steakhouse at The National Hotel on Saturday evening, January 13, and it was magnificent! Chuck Swissher, K.C. Brown, and the rest are a stellar first-rate act! Thank goodness for Stan Lukowicz who has created a splendid Victorian environment for the most interesting and awe-inspiring occasions! Bravo, Bravo, Bravo! Linda & Wolf Hein and the Good Folks at Baker Street West
The National Hotel's Stanley's Steakhouse has a new Chef and KC is an amazing addition to the team.
We stayed one night in room 307 and had a delicious dinner at Stanley's. The 2012 renovation is beautiful. Each room is different and lovingly decorated in antique and repros of the hotel's late 19th century era. Our room was bright, tiny and comfortable (blinds in bath were broken). The hotel lobbywith fireplace and sofas makes for a perfect sitting room in absence of suites. The downstairs saloon is pricey ($10 house drinks) but comfortable and friendly. The staff are very helpful, hardworking and proud of their Hotel.
I will be back because of the knowledge of Val. Was great to hear the history of the National Hotel and Jackson CA!
