Sports done right – First visit to the Mezz, as I have heard the regulars call it now, and hooked me for life! Great specials (Tuesday is $2.50 u-call-its, and they mean it), and the kitchen serves great food till 2 am. Plenty of tvs to catch whatver sport you are into. Also just heard they are a sponsor for the new soccer team in town, and the players are known to stop by after the home games.
A NOT-HOT SPOT – I went there after seeing ads that they had 27 tvs and the best wings in town. Well the 27 tvs are small outdated and not in HD and unless you like chicken strips doused in hot sauce I would say the wings are the worst I ever had. When we asked the bar tender for iced tea we got water with a little tint of brown. The service was lousy with only two tables full. I would hate to be there on game day.
Two-level club provides the perfect compromise for Houston's martini set and hard-core sports fans alike. – In Short Upstairs, more than 20 TV screens broadcast the latest game or Pay Per View event. Gamers can have a go at the pool tables and dart board, or join in one of the frequent poker tournaments. Enjoy nightly cocktail and beer specials, or take a chance at the bar's "shot wheel." Downstairs, a more conversation-friendly atmosphere can be found in the lounge with comfy couches and house-specialty Mezzatinis.
The place to be at gametime – Ever since it opened earlier this year...the Mezz has been my favorite place to be on game days. Heck...any day. Wings are the best in town...service is great, and the people that hang there really know their sports.
Lounge? – This place can't decide what it wants to be and so ends up being not much of anything.
The Mezzanine Lounge & Sports Bar has a 3.4 star rating with 55 reviews.
