Wouldn't recommend unless you are a HEAVY sleeper. The building is very nice and neighbors were quite but you can here EVERYTHING happening on the street. From live 2am weeknight trombone performances to getting woken up every single night by street sweepers if you can't sleep through loud noises this is not the place to live. If you can tolerate that this is probably the best deal for a downtown apartment you'll find. It really is a friendly community in a quaint historical building. I stayed at the Loraine for a year and this was the best place to live in Norfolk! Night life is crazy and i never had any problems with property managements because they’re always respond to any concerns and questions. I wish I could stayed but if ever move back to norfolk I’ll definitely stay there again!!! Thank you for the best experience!!!
