This restaurant was recommended by a friend and we’re so happy we decided to check it out. We didn’t have reservations so we had a choice of seating outside on the nice terrace or at the bar. We choose the bar and happy we do so. The bartender was excellent. My husband had the hanger steak special and the bartender recommended the salmon so that’s what I got. I love the food. I’m currently checking the decibel level and it’s near a constant 90 decibels. Peaked near 100db. Don’t expect quiet here. Food is very good and reasonable.
The Local came highly recommended and it didn’t disappoint. Food was amazing. Drinks were good. I did feel that the service lacked a little after our dinner order was placed. I sat with an empty drink for 20 minutes before they came back over to check on us. When the waitress came to check on us and asked if everything was good, before I could ask for another drink she was already trying to walk away. I’m not sure if they were under staffed but overall it was a good experience and would return in the future.
One of the very best restaurants (IMHO) in Charlottesville!! I love the food...the atmosphere and the people there!
Excellent service , I had the duck cooked perfectly very tasty , my girlfriend had the lamb shank special which was amazing ! Probably the best Manhattan I’ve ever had ! We will be back
Food was delicious but a tad expensive. Service was excellent. Would heartily recommend. No 5 star because the chairs suck.
First time there last night. Wasn’t overly impressed. Thought portions were small and overpriced . Had a good server though. Didn’t like location either. Area too dark.
