Instead of moving tables, they wanted our party of 7 to wait for people to leave. Told us we should have called for reservations...... yet the place wasn't even 25% full. Not interested in our business, we must not have been "local" enough for the staff. We were highly offended, and the staff was both unapologetic unrepentant when we went back to discuss it.
I love the Light Well, but wish they would go back to opening for breakfast (8am) on weekends!

Best place for food, coffee, or beer in Orange County. Shrimp and grits are phenomenal. I dare say better food than most every place in fburg or cpep too. Staff is excellent as well. Very much a gem of the Blue Ridge foothills.
We were seated promptly, the people working there were really nice. Our breakfast order was taken immediately and the food was good. I will definitely go there again.
Lovely place to grab a morning coffee and work for a while or to chill with an afternoon beer.
What a delightful find in Orange Virginia! Wonderful food and ambiance. Shrimp and grits appetizer was fantastic and enough for two or more.
