RecommendedChef Merlin might as well be a magician in the kitchen. Everything was delicious! The crab cakes and the sauce was the best I have ever had. Our waiter was a joy to have serve us all of his suggestions were spot on delicious. We stopped at a red light and saw the dinner sign out front headed to another restaurant and that was the best right turn we ever made. We will be back again.
We highly recommend The Landing in La Grande. My husband and I stopped here on a cross-country trip. Lovely and charming atmosphere in downtown La Grande. The owners are gracious and obviously (and rightly) proud of their establishment. Dinner was delicious and the dining room is very attractive and welcoming. We’d return here any time. This place has such a unique feel to it! We love how they restored it and turned it into a great dining experience. The food was creative and pleasing to the taste buds. Our two young kids were huge fans as well! The service was the best we have ever experienced from a restaurant! Thank you Rick! We will be back! Hopefully staying the night at the hotel!

My daughter and I had the pleasure of dining at The Landing Hotel last weekend. The atmosphere and decor were lovely. One forgets that they are in La Grande, and feels as though they have been transported. Truly, the food was absolutely outstanding. Merlyn has an exceptional ability to create culinary masterpieces. We cannot wait to see what the future holds for this extraordinary establishment!
