The Land & Water Company is my favorite restaurant in Carlsbad. Good service, great atmosphere, solid drinks, and amazing kennebec potato chips.

Appetizers were great. Dessert was excellent. Service was fantastic. Overall a very filling gastronomic experience.
Food was great, but the menu was a little cryptic. I would also sit indoors next time. The patio is open to foot traffic and we had a group of skaters roll through to the surf shop while we were eating. Make the menu more descriptive, block off the patio, and add a little planter along the street for intimacy and I'll go 5 stars.
Had a single piece of my kids straight up real deal red crab Cali roll, I've eaten a lot of sushi and sashimi but nothing like this. The big old kimchi chicken and mash potato was so rock in I was amazed at how it was thought up and balanced. The water roll is sooooooo awesome with more real crab and the small sprigs of Japanese mint...normally huge and over powering. The details to the dish were simply amazing. Love love the fusion.
