LOVE The Kid Salon!! I've been going here since they were a tiny little shop on the East side of Allen. It's funny saying you get your hair done at kid salon but they have a space in the back for adults. I've been seeing Amy since I was a teenager and love her! The staff there is so wonderful too! When we lived in the area I was able to bring my daughter and she loved it!!! Not satisfied at all - overpriced and overrated. We went there at 1 p.m on Monday, they charged me full although they have a nap time discounted rate between 11 p.m - 2 p.m mon - thurs. They did not bother to mention about it. I count it as being dishonest. The stylist was quite unfriendly and the cut was very untidy. No repsonse from the manager. I am not going back there and do not recommend either !

I want to start off by saying I am sorry if you were not given the $3 off during the our Nap time special but, this mistake could have easily been corrected if you would have brought it to our attention at our shop. Well I think the picture posted in the comments speak for themselves... Anyway we basically just paid $20 for her to brush my daughters hair & trim her bangs. I told her 1 1/2-2inches off the back with a slight layer. She cut off about 1/2 an inch unevenly off the back & trimmed her bangs. She was not personable AT ALL then sent us on our way with a stringy uneven mess of hair. From the moment we walked in to the time we walked out was less than 10 minutes. I take my daughter here. She used to HATE getting her hair cut, but she loves to come here. She (age 4) actually asks to come when her bangs get too long! Exceptionally friendly staff, they don't try to force or guilt parents into buying hair accessories like most other kid salons do, either. And if mom needs a trim, they can easily accommodate. Best of all, walk-ins always welcome, and I rarely have to wait more than a few minutes. Then you can go next door to let the kids run and play at The Village Depot.
