my nephew is playing at the joint tonight, please make him welcome hes come all the way from england
It's a whole new place. Every time I go to LA I make it a point to visit. Great music, attentive friendly staff, CLEAN, and not just your regular gross bar food. The menu is well thought out and the food is terrific and a well-rounded bar selection. When I asked about the names of certain dishes on the menu, I learned that the club also supports a non-profit for young musicians. COUNT ME IN! What an incredible place. Kudos and rock until you drop to the new owner and staff of the Joint!
Just to let you all know, The Joint has been taken over by a new owner who actually cares about the music scene. Give it another shot and try out the new American cuisine, Delicious drinks and wonderful staff!
Excellent and beautiful club.Well managed and very friendly staff, great food and great bands as well!
Don't get too comfortable-you may have to move – I carefully planned a trip to The Joint to watch a fellow vocalist perform. I put on a nice outfit, and brought my camera. I was excited to learn that LA had a Reggae spot, and couldn't wait! When I arrived, the place was sparesly filled, and few were eating. The band that was supposed to play at 7:30 was just setting up at 9:30. I found a comfortable location to sit, and decided to relax for a while. No one took my order at the booth or said anything to me- maybe they can't a... read more
Don't get the Booth if you want a good time! – Everything about going to The Joint was a nightmare! My group reserved a booth which they stipulate that you must purchase food or drinks totally $250 for a booth. There was & in our group and we can drink so never thought this would be a problem. Our server was also the bartender she rarely came to take our order without us walking over to the bar to let her know our group wanted to order drinks.I ordered my first drink of the night along with everyone else at our booth, a Ma t... read more
Never Again!!!!! – I personally had a horrible experience at the Joint, and I would never ever suggest this place to anyone for food. I was interested to check it out since I live in the neighborhood but My dinner took almost 40 minutes and the place had one customer so there was no excuse.. and it taste nothing .. I mean nothing.... like real Carribean food. I called to try and change my order to something else and at least give them feed back since they are fairly new, and I feel like Management could care less about my ex... read more
I was impressed! – I walked by The joint and noticed that a few changes have been made sense the last time I was there. It is now a full on reggae club/ Caribbean style Restaurant. I decided to go in and try the dinner menu. Great FOOD and a fun atmosphere. I decided to stay to watch the live music and was surprised by the professional quality sound system and great bands. I will be back!!
Ragga Muffins – Me and some friends used to go to this place when we were up for anything... because the music here was always hit or miss. Surprisingly they've seriously cleaned their act up and made some major renovations -- best part is they didn't lose the quality sound. I'll be attending more often.
