About this business

Well off the beaten path, The Joint serves up what is often argued as the best barbecue in the Crescent City. Passersby may miss this tiny barbecue café at first glance, but the fragrant smell of the smoking meat keeps the restaurant going unnoticed. The Joint menu features all of the barbecue basics including brisket, pulled pork, chicken and ribs. Side options include cole slaw, potato salad, macaroni and cheese, and baked beans. Finish a meal with a slice of pecan, key lime, or peanut butter pie. - Bethany Culp

My daughteran I we’re passing through coming from Arizona to Navarre, Florida. My daughter wanted some BBQ and had seen “the joint” on insider and she wanted to try it. So we googled it and made a special stop and we loved the food. She ordered the pulled pork and I tried the ribs. This is definitely a place to eat when you go to New Orleans.

Great ribs, great pulled pork, awesome BBQ beans..... Cole slaw could have been creamier for my taste, but a great BBQ experience! Loved it!

Seen this place on Diners, Drive Ins and Dives. So, while traveling and visiting New Orleans, we wanted to test Guy's recommendation. We tried a little bit of everything, ribs, brisket and pulled pork. The baked beans were very good also. Everything was great!

Brisket was totally amazing and ribs were tender AND had lots of meat on them! Coleslaw very good as well! Would love to go again!

Awesome BBQ, friendly service. Probably the best BBQ I've had in NOLA. Ribs are amazing! Awesome seasoning and literally fall off the bone. We came with our toddler and the female worker was very helpful and accommodating, giving us a high chair for him. We'll be back! Easily competes with Austin BBQ!

Great food and drinks, unpretentious atmosphere with hard working staff. Tree-swing across the street. It’s a must I come here every time I’m in New Orleans.

We stopped here on a recommendation and we were very satisfied. I really wanted to try the burnt ends but they were out by the time we got there. Service was great, food was excellent, if I lived closer, I'd definitely come back soon.

I really dig this place. Pigsickles are great. The brisket is sooo good. The pulled pork would make a rabbi drool. Great food. Great staff.
