The management company for this building is bad and the building itself is poorly maintained. I have lived in several different apartments before this one, and this one by far has required the most maintenance requests. They also always do a poor job of solving the problems that we have had, and in one case just closed the ticket without even attempting to solve the problem. While the rent prices are fair, i would still never recommend anyone to live here due to the maintenance headaches.
I moved to Madison from out-of-state not too long ago and needed to find a place to live without coming to see it in-person first. I found The Ideal and could not recommend it more. Firstly, the staff here are all incredible. Everyone, especially Dillon, is super friendly. They're all quick to respond to inquiries and always happy to help. I lived at The Ideal for nearly 3 years and had the most exceptional experience with not only the property, but specifically the management company, Gallina, and the property manager, Dillon. The property: this building is extremely well kept, clean, comfortable, and a very safe place to live. Resident from 2021-2024. Location is great, as there are plenty of restaurants closeby, not too close to the UW campus but close enough. Management was very helpful and accommodating with the initial move-in process. Management was very quick to fix and address issues when amenities broke down. The Ideal Apartments are the best!! Not only has management been responsive, flexible, and helpful, but the quality of the apartments/appliances are fantastic! Among the best apartments I’ve lived in (and there’s been many!). Highly recommend for anyone looking for a new place.
