The Huckleberry

About this business

The Huckleberry is the only British tea room and restaurant in the Boulder area. Located in the heart of downtown Louisville, the restaurant is easy to find and an enjoyable diversion from wandering the other local shops and museums in the area. However, the popularity of the Huckleberry makes it difficult to just "pop in" without prior planning. The menu offers full British breakfasts and Colorado favorites alike, comfort food entrees served in the British style, and rich, freshly made desserts and wine for a full dining ex... read more

Generally a good, kid and family friendly restaurant. We ordered the Biscuits & Gravy, strawberry cream cake and the peach huckleberry pie. My family ordered my favorite cake which is carrot cake for my 40th birthday. The actual cake is yummy even if it is was dry. The icing was awful. Over powering LEMON flavor in the icing. You cannot taste the cake. The German chocolate cake made at Huckleberry is amazing. Never ever order the carrot cake unless you want to eat lemons.

We loved this place, and were there almost every weekend! Sadly we had to move back to Texas and we have yet to find anything that compares, the chai tea is to DIE for! And the pies... Mmm. We miss it terribly, we ate there our last day in Colorado as a way to say goodbye.
