RecommendedVisiting Auburn from out of state & tried The Hound based on reviews - it was a great choice from start to finish! Our server, Michael, was fantastic! The shrimp & grits were so amazing I don’t think I can ever order them anywhere else ever again! The “Big Fat Ribeye “ was also perfection. The manager Steven bent over backwards to make sure everything was perfect- Southern hospitality and cuisine are top notch here!! Thank you!

RecommendedLong wait during Sunday Brunch, but that’s usually a good sign. The food was excellent. I had the 3 Egg Omelet (HUGE), and my daughter had the Steak & Eggs.. The steak was small, but it was cooked very nicely. The only complaint I have for the service was that I had to continually ask for coffee refills. Not a big issue, but most places are on top of it. Waited over 50 minutes for a table when told the wait would be 30 minutes. Two parties of six were seated before us even though they arrived after us. We finally had to bring to hostess attention who said she was in training. Management acknowledged error and apologized but made no efforts to comp an appetizer or desert for 8 month pregnant daughter-in-law who waited outside in hot sun because there was no room inside. RecommendedMy sister insisted we eat at The Hound when I finally visited her. We went for Sunday brunch!! We were so excited to try the Bacon and Bourbon bloody mary! It was delish! She had Huevos Houndcheros and the Lowcountry shrimp and grits were the BEST I have ever eaten!!! Our service and waiter Julian were fantastic! Totally worth the wait!!!
