Velvet-rope-free zone unites an unusual mix of acoustic music lovers. – The Scene Arrive early to score one of the too-close-together rickety tables, a la a Parisian cafe. Not just a hotel cafe – This has become my favorite music venue in the city. They always greet you with a warm welcome and nowhere else can you get up close and personal with the best unsigned and signed acts in L.A. (The worst was the female singer of the opening act, who told me to "move closer" when I told her obnoxious friend to be quiet) This kind of place is the worst of all, pretentious singer/songwri... read more
