Great Neighborhood Restaurant I met an old friend at this restaurant on Braoadway. The atmosphere was nice if a little crowded. The service was prompt and the food was good. We were there for lunch so I would like to go back again at dinner to sample that menu. A great casual atmosphere.

BEST MACARONI AND CHEESE WITH LOBSTER!!!! – THIS PLACE IS WONDERFUL. RELAXED, FRIENDLY ATMOSPHERE AND THE FOOD IS TOP NOTCH-EVERY TIME. YOU MUST TRY IT OUT!

<<NACHOS... and STRANGE PEOPLE... – The Hornet nachos are the best I've ever had and I get nachos at a lot of places... Easily a meal for 2, the nachos are loaded with beans, cheese and meat layered throughout the oven-baked chips. To top it off, you get generous dallops of guac and sour cream. They are great to get when you're in the back area playing pool while you watch a game on the big screen. The Hornet is also a great place for people watching (outside as they walk by). The Hornet - the perfect neighborhood restaurant – I live in the neighborhood and go to the Hornet a couple of times a month. I feel that it has more of a restaurant feel, as opposed to bar feel, although they do draw quite the happy hour crowd with their drink specials and chic, yet relaxed atmosphere. Food used to be better – I love The Hornet and used to go there weekly. The food is not nearly as good as it was 2-3 years ago. While it isn't subpar, it isn't what it used to be at all. The service is usually pretty good. It can get really busy on the weekends, but whatever. As much as I like this place, it disappoints me that it has digressed a bit into something not so unique as it used to be. Drink specials are not too bad. I always love the bloody mary bar on the weekends!

Good food, but yuppies ruled the day We wanted to try this place out as it had been well liked by a couple we hang out with. Perhaps our mistake was going on a friday night. We had to park a couple of blocks from the restaurant, I think just from a lot of local traffic, not just the Hornet. They had an excellent selection of micro-beers, and the food was pretty good. Hornet or Wh0re Net? – The Hornet is a complete dive. We went there a few weeks ago and were so disgusted that we actually took time to write a review. WARNING- The Hornet has been misspelled. Best Atmosphere in Denver The Hornet has great service and the food was excellent. The hostess was great, and the waitstaff was excellent. The SHELLS AND CHEESE was very tasty, and the HONEYSTUNG CHICKEN was to die for. The atmosphere was terrific and the beer selection was heavy with a realistic price. I would definitely go back to the HORNET the next time I am in DENVER. Oh yeah, do not forget to try the SWEET POTATO FRIES!!!
