Good food, but yuppies ruled the day We wanted to try this place out as it had been well liked by a couple we hang out with. Perhaps our mistake was going on a friday night. We had to park a couple of blocks from the restaurant, I think just from a lot of local traffic, not just the Hornet. They had an excellent selection of micro-beers, and the food was pretty good. Great Neighborhood Restaurant I met an old friend at this restaurant on Braoadway. The atmosphere was nice if a little crowded. The service was prompt and the food was good. We were there for lunch so I would like to go back again at dinner to sample that menu. A great casual atmosphere.

Excellent! Had the sirloin and it came with agrautin potatoes and peas with BACON AND SHAVED PARM CHEESE! Seriously ... who knew. More than enough food and the cook looks like the rock. How do you beat that! Oh yeah and about a block down an ice cream shop that smells like heaven. Thanks God!

Great food, fun place to go – Kid Friendly, waitress was very into my 4yr old son. I had the California turkey burger (see my picture), and sure did have blue cheese lumps on it but even for a 4yr old it's great. Great sweet potato fries. Will want to try this place again!

The Hornet "Gangster Wrap" – The Gangster Wrap was listed as one of the top 100 must eat dishes in Denver, so I got it and reviewed it: A cold sandwich or wrap can only go so far with me. And including bacon is a great start. In the end, it was tasty, but when I look at that list of promising ingredients (bacon, cheese, green chili, avocado, turkey), it was a case where the whole was less than the sum of its parts. Hometown Cooking in a Hip Environment – The Hornet has every type of food! It varies from hamburgers, salads, mexican, sandwiches, mashed potatoes, carribean, etc. There is also a hip exterior and fantabulous drinks!

Ultimate Brunch in Denv-ah! – My friends and I the Hornet for the ultimate Sunday Brunch. There is never a wait for a great high-top bar table and the staff is so cool. Often, we spend 3 hours drinking and hanging out with people who come and go. Our server or bartender is always cool with us. The Sunday bartender serves up the best mimosas in the city and the Bloody Bar rocks...both drinks are only $2. Great Food and Awesome Beer Specials – I have lived in Denver for over ten years and the Hornet is the best place in town for a Friday night or Sunday morning. The late night beer specials are amazing, the food is great (especially the Cubano sandwich) and the weekend build your own bloody mary is fantastic. Sometimes its crowded and the service might be a little slow, but the place is top-notch overall. The crowd is a very nice mix of styles, incomes, and ages too.
