I live in North Louisiana. We were recently affected by Hurricane Laura. Our power has been out 3 days. There are no generators or supplies to be found locally and once a shipment comes in they are sold before we can get in line. My husband drove 400 miles round trip to Brookhaven Home Depot and purchased a generator. Once back home we discovered the generator was leaking gas from the carburetor. Never able to find someone who knows where anything is and they will not answer phones. 70 employees but none are doing anything but looking “busy”
As a contractor, I purchase materials from Home Depot on an almost daily basis. I typically shop in Brookhaven or NE Jackson, and occasionally in Madison. Until today I have never seen such rude behavior from a Home Depot employee as I saw from Scott (Scotty?), the assistant manager here in Brookhaven. Around 3:15 PM today I arrived at the Pro Desk with my load of materials, and this man refused to acknowledge my presence. I have to share my experience at Home Depot today. I use a paint product that is relatively obscure, using about a quart a year. Today I couldn’t find it on the shelf, asked Celeste at the paint counter and she asked me several questions. For the life of me I couldn’t remember the color, just the brand name, but it was always in a place different from the other products like it. I could describe the can even.
