First and foremost getting help at 7 pm was somewhat of a hassel .. and being told well ordering lumber should be during the day...UMM PEOPLE DO WORK...so getting there when you can is what it is.. In the process of doing some home repairs and updates. Stopped at the Valpo store several times looking at flooring, countertops, and vanities. NEVER did anyone offer to help. Stood at the flooring desks for 10 minutes while 2 female associates were on the phones. Waited patiently and when they each hung up they started talking to each other oblivious to me standing there. Nice place to shop at when you need 2x4s and plywood and other things but when you dont have it in stock the other home depot stores carry it
First off, I went to your Valparaiso, IN store to purchase an electric mower. The sales associate who helped me was absolutly wonderful. I pulled my car up to the front so he and another associate, Joey aka "HULK", could load it only to accidentally lock my keys in my car, engine running, all my belongings inside during the process. Joey was absolutly beyond fabulous. He stayed with me and let me use his phone so I could call for reinforcements. Called to get an answer on whether or not they carry a certain type of shingle.. Got sent to building supply and sat on hold 3 times.. Finally gave up and went next door to Menards.. No wonder this place is always quiet anymore..
My husband just visited this location today and it took 25 minutes for someone to come help him get a tablesaw he went to buy, the lady at the desk paged someone FIVE times to come help him. Then once someone did arrive it took another 20 minutes for them to get the saw he needed. There were other issues with the visit as well. Very disappointing service.
