I was making a purchase on June 20, 2020 at the Home Depot store #1950 located at 1300 S Clinton Chicago, Illinois. I accidentally left my cell phone at the self checkout, but returned within about 2 minutes to the speak with the clerk to ask about my phone. I would not be surprised if a large number of COVID cases are traced back to this store. Most of the check out lines are self-checkouts that require customers to pick up a hand-held scanner to scan their items. There is no hand-sanitizer for customers to use and the scanners are not sanitized at all between large numbers of customers. You then have to hand your receipt to a security guard who will then check your items and hand it back. I can't think of an easier way to spread COVID to hundreds of people. RecommendedOur toilet broke in the midst of COVID19 - ordered online, picked up in store (South Loop - Chicago location). I never received the confirmation email that my new toilet was ready for pickup, but I called about 20 minutes before they closed & asked. The guy said he would have someone pull it for me, but to come right away. I got there just before they closed - my toilet was waiting for me at the service desk. Can't actually look at the countertop microwave ovens they sell. They don't display them. I buy a microwave once every 6 years, did an online search. Home Depot seemed to have what I think I want. But I can't touch it, open it. I live alone and simply can't buy an appliance that large, struggle to get it home, fight with the packaging and then discover it's not right--and then have to return it. Looks like Target, Walmart or Best Buy will make me settle for something else and get my money-- at least I can see it.
Walked in the store I asked one simple question where something was and they told me right away when I’ll do it was in totally awesome everybody in the store knew what they were doing!!!
We have a flooring installation scheduled to begin Monday but no materials. I just spent an hour and a half trying to get an actual human to help me figure out where are materials are and how they’re going to get to our place before Monday with no success. Not quite sure how a nonexistent floor is going to be installed.
Do not buy appliances at Home Depot. The will always lie about your delivery date 3 weeks off on a delivery date. Went and picked one up elsewhere. Then had to wait soooo long for refund
