I had a very 50/50 experience with my local Home Depot this evening. I was ordering tile and opening a Home Depot credit with my mother; was assisted beyond graciously by Jeremy (who helped with the tile) and Nick (who helped with the service desk). They both were extremely friendly and made it an enjoyable experience; HOWEVER, the assistant manager, Steven, was incredibly rude. Ordered a stove online. Guy came to install it and installed it for natural gas instead of propane because home depot told the guy that installed it that it was natural. Smelled gas in my house for about 15 mins. Waste of time and money. Very unprofessional and will never shop there again!
I was challenged at Home Depot today and was told that my VA medical card with photo ID would not be acceptable for the 10% discount unless it had "Service Connected Dissability" on the card. I will be shopping accross the street at Lowes where they are more military/veteran friendly. Additionally, Manards does NOT give military or veteran discounts. FYI
