I have been a commercial account holder since HD first came to Grand Rapids. The store on 54th in Wyoming became my go to store when it opened. Sadly the customer service has deteriorated significantly in the past year. I have walked by 26 employees in the past 2 weeks, not one would make eye contact, not one asked if they could help and only one said hello. This store used to be the best store in town for c/s. Horrible customer service. Manager was uptight and wouldn’t even hear what I wanted to say or at least what I was trying to say. Lady at appliances was walking away as I was talking to her. I have spent so much money here it’s pretty ridiculous they don’t care about their customers.
Train employees on customer service! Went there looking for 20 box fans, couldn't find any so finally had to ask and was shown a display of fans and was told that was all they had. i told the lady that they should have 74 of them according to their website.
This afternoon we had an extremely slow and extremely rude cashier. There was only one actual person run register open in the store. We waited for at least ten minutes to even get to the counter. And once we did our cashier was extremely rude and slow. It was the worst experience with Home Depot I have ever experienced. Normally their employees are very helpful and kind!
Stopped at Customer Service Desk on 05/27/18 to exchange an order the store filled incorrectly. Reminded the employee that I was entitled to a Veterans Discount. Was advised I was not entitled to the discount as my order was originally placed on-line. DAY BEFORE MEMORIAL DAY! Good job ASSHOLE! At that point, I was ready to jump up on the Counter and loudly announce to their other customers that Home Depot refused a Veterans Discount the day before a holiday intended to acknowledge military service.
