Very unresponsive management. Lots of unexplainable and hidden fees. Black mold problem across a majority of units. Avoid this place at all costs. They will charge upwards of $1000 in move out charges without anything to back it up. The “move in form” does not cover everything you need to protect yourself against these people. Complete and utter scam artists. Charged me $60 after move out for "damages and repairs" when the so called "damage" was leaving a couple command strips on the wall. Isn't the entire purpose of command strips is to not leave any damage on walls? When I asked for photo evidence, I was sent a blurry photo with absolutely no clear evidence of the damage. Strongly advise to avoid renting from here. Terrible management and finds ways to induce extra charges that you were not responsible for (they will charge you for damages that occurred prior to move in and if you contact management, they do not resolve the issue). Corporate does not respond when you go to the higher ups. JMU OFF-Campus Housing strongly recommends other options with better rates and service from management.
Very disappointed in this place. Parents and renters beware. My son rented for 3 years and rent went up yearly so that we were paying over $200 more from the start to end of lease. Refrigerator half way worked and floor in the living room was soft and weak in a spot so it felt like you were going to break through to the apartment below.
