I hired Wesley for a divorce and messy custody issue in 2011. He was attentive and informed about all the issues. I had an abusive husband and he had taken my 9 y.o. girl. I ran out of funds during the divorce and Mr. Harden was so nice that because he believed in me finished out the case for free and I got my daughter back. I can never thank him enough.
We paid Mr Harden a large retainer for a family law matter (where a grandparent kidnapped our child while babysitting him.) We paid the fee and 2 days before court he informs us he needed an additional $1500 or he would not appear. We could not come up with the addt'l money in such a short time. Mr Harden failed to appear in court - we LOST our case. Our son was later molested by the grandparent's significant other. Our lives will never again be the same. Mr. Stoffregen is an excellent lawyer, him and Mr. Harden are not associated with each other. They used to office share but other than that they were not associated.
Wes Harden cost me an additional $1200. This law firm charged me a $500 retainer to appear on my behalf for a case that wouldn't have gone to court except that they failed to notify me that there were documents that needed my attention. Then on the day of court, he did not even try to negotiate for the $700 that I had informed him that I was willing to pay. Awful attorney. DO NOT HIRE THIS MAN!! He said he would get the judge to lessen my ex's visitation so that I would have him M-F for school. I paid him but BEFORE he even served my ex 6 month's later...he said he needed MORE money! He hadn't even done anything. When the police finally served the papers to my ex 7 Month's later...I couldn't even REACH my attorney. I called everyday went to the office...Wes would FACEBOOK or text message me but NEVER would he return my messages or texts or phone calls
This has to be one of the worst law firms in the Springfield, MO area. I am not sure which attorney in this law firm is the worst. I tell everyone I know to STAY AWAY from here. They lost my case for me because of no action and not returning my phone calls. Have since found others who say they had the same experience with them. No return phone calls. No respect for clients.
I would not recommend this law firm to anyone! Wes Harden and his partner in the firm, Michael Stoffregan are both terrible at returning calls. We've waisted our time on these guys for 3 years now. And I know 2 other clients of theirs who have had the same experience. There are several attorneys in the Springfield/Branson area who would be glad to help you. Don't waist your time.
