GREAT drink selection! Half Door was an unexpected, but pleasant surprise. They're not in the "bar block" of Hartford - instead located on the corner of Sisson and Farmington Ave. There is no parking, and on-street can be tough - make sure you watch for the no-parking signs or your car will be towed. Despite that, the bar is a winner! Its small, but comfortable. It has a nice pub feel to it, and the drink selection is great. They have a lot more to choose from than most bars in the area. Great Irish Pub They have hundreds of beers to choose from from all over Europe. The Pub food is amazing. My favorite thing there is the cobblestones which are mini philly cheestakes served over lettuce. Other favorites are the meatloaf sandwhich and the irish chips. They also have a nice outdoor patio area for nice days and a Plasma Big Screen in case you want to watch a game. Hit it up!
Great Hang-out & Delicious Food. Great environment - mouth-watering food. If you go, I suggest getting the Kerry Cheese steak. You won't be disappointed.
Great little Irish place The inside is a little bit small, but filled with Irish atmosphere. ON many nights you can experience live Irish music being played. They have Guiness on tap and it is excellent. Prices are reasonable.
RecommendedOh how I miss you guys pre covid! Went today for brunch and it just wasn’t the same. I miss everyone bleary eyes and waiting for a table. I miss the old brunch menu where the home fries spilled off your plate. Our server was super nice, but the off the charts food quality just wasn’t there. I’ll be back, but not until it’s evident money is being funneled back in to the menu.
I have been going to the Half Door since 2002. Never a disappointment!
This is by far one of my favorite bars. The staff are some of the best people I know in the industry. The food is SUPERB. For a local joint you can’t get better than half door.

Fish n Chips are always delicious. just had the steak and egg wrap for brunch; very satisfying!
