Had the watermelon wheat beer today at Thursday's on first and it was awesome..we'll definitely be back to try more
stopped by at 11 AM today, for lunch. Hours say open at 11, stood at the hostess stand until 11:10 noone came from in back to seat us. Left utterly disappointed and went next door to the Loop.
Go for drinks and appetizers (the Pork belly sliders are terrific), but stay away from their "signature dishes". The pork loin pinwheel and Cornish hen were extremely disappointing. The pork was way overdone and rubbery, no raspberry bourbon reduction. The hen was dry and again, presented without the double cranberry thyme reduction. I might go back, but I'm not sure, for $100 dinner I would rather go to ZZest or Pescara. *they did give us a partial discount*

We found The Half Barrel by chance after trying the "top rated" places in Rochester. Once we found THB we never went anywhere else (yes, we were there 5 nights in a row). The menu is diverse and everything we tried was top notch. The innovative drink menu has something for everyone and if you do not see what you want these guys are creative! The crowd was diverse. My husband and I were out for date night, and decided to try it out here. We really enjoyed the food and atmosphere, and we will definately be going back!
Great chef, outstanding menu, knowledgeable waitstaff (especially Sarina!) This will become one of your favorites!
