I called for intake: 2nd opinion diagnosis for over 25 years in DBH community support! The questions asked ME-LEFT ME DIAGNOSING MYSELF! I HUNG UP! PROVOKED TO WANT TO RUN FOR MY LIFE! SAD...NOT SEASONAL AFFECTIVE DISORDER EITHER...DC PSYCH SERVICES FOR NON SUBSTANCE USERS-BAD

Receptionist snapped at me when I was crying bc I got a sudden random bill of $400 due to my insurance not covering my appointment Maybe she shouldn’t work in a psychiatry office if she’s going to be cruel to people with mental health issues and ptsd I’ve also had numerous incorrect bills from them before

They give you appointment options in june when you call in November, and in October when you need to reschedule in June. I don’t see how anyone could trust doctors that are eager to get your insurance card details on the spot but can’t find time for their patients in 6 months.

Scheduling staff did not tell me that my insurance was not going to cover the service. Paid out of pocket since I already had set this appointment 2 months earlier and taken off of work. Staff did the minimum testing for what I came in for. Felt doctor was inexperienced, after a follow up call, I was told to take my results and find another doctor. No one was rude, at least.

I think there's adverse selection in reviews overall, but it particularly appears to be the case for services that are stigmatized.... I have had overwhelmingly positive experiences with both the care team and office staff for the past 3 years. Greatly appreciate the clinical work these folks do whilst also teaching and managing research.
