About this business

The Grove West Seattle Inn's been around since the '60s, and we're honoring the building's original mod aesthetic as well as our West Seattle roots. Our rooms are modern and clean, and our cool color palette is inspired by the architecture of our building. Located away from the hustle and bustle of downtown, we offer a glimpse into Seattle's small-town side, without losing any of its style. For a stay that's as comfortable and quiet as it is immersive in Seattle culture, head to The Grove West Seattle Inn.

The room was clean. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The continental breakfast had decent selection, and was neat and clean. Free parking. Noise mentioned by others wasn't really an issue.

We stayed one night when attending an event in West Seattle. Everything was very clean, and the staff most accommodating. The breakfast room (opened for us for a pre-event evening gathering), offered an ample Continental breakfast and a place for our group to gather before departing. We would stay at The Grove again.

Our family of four spent three nights here, the first was the best sleep (maybe because we had just finished traveling for the last 20+ hours with very little sleep). The room was clean, although small. The bathroom was tiny. I could stand in the middle and touch all four walls with my arms outstretched. A continental breakfast was included ... a selection of cereals, hard boiled eggs, bananas, bagels, English muffins, small Danish and a selection of juices. The friendly staff, filling breakfast and quiet sleep made up for t... read more

I fell under the spell of West Seattle a few years ago while on a pilgrimage to the flour dusted Shrine of Glutenous Gastronomy, Bakery Nouveau. I am thrilled to have found this wonderful monochrome mid-century modern motel redux nearby. It was nice to be able to stay so close to downtown, and not have to deal with Seattle’s legendary traffic and outrageous parking! I stayed here to be a bit closer to the airport and an early morning flight. It’s neat and clean, the modern furnishings not unlike what’s in all the big hotels.... read more

The Grove is a great location to explore Seattle in summer, conveniently located between downtown and Alki Beach in West Seattle. The staff was extremely nice, we felt welcome from the very first minute. Parking is free, as is cable TV and breakfast with a nice selection of healthy and unhealthy food. It took us only a couple of minutes by car to Alki Beach on a nice day and approximately 10 minutes with the C line rapid bus transit to downtown with stops close to the major sights (Pioneer Square, Pike St, and Seattle Center... read more

We have stayed at this little inn several times. It is clean, simple and has a most friendly staff! Had a request for more lighting and we had a lamp immediately. A great place in West Seattle! Simplicity and great basic lodging! West Seattle has wonderful restaurants and "small town feel."

We stayed 10 days at The Grove when we helped our daughter and family move. They have a wonderful breakfast. The staff was pleasant and helpful. We could easily walk to the "main" street for groceries, restaurants, actually all of our needs. We would certainly stay here again.
