The hotel was well paced to see a friend with kids who lived near by.
We chose this property because it was moderately priced and was very close to, but not in Downtown Seattle. Our room was a noisier one with 2 queen beds facing out to Alaska St. The room itself was clean and had some very nice touches. Someone had considered design when placing the mini-fridge in a "closet" space next to the bathroom. Our bathroom was roomy and well-appointed. Beds were firm. Nice and clean, limited breakfast menu (cereals, yoghurt, hard boiled eggs, pastries, bananas and fruit salad, coffee & decaf, juices). We got a handicapped accessible room and I appreciated the grab bars. Within walking distance of the shopping district. The staff was helpful (we needed help adjusting the tv). Great value for the money! West Seattle is a great neighborhood (Alki Point Beach, shopping, food etc.
The Grove offers both that convenience and value plus we also discovered that West Seattle is a very scenic, interesting place with good restaurants. The property is an example of making the very most of what you have. It's primarily a traditional motel in design, but they have furnished the rooms with good quality furniture and attractive decorations. It is about 5 miles from downtown Seattle, and is much less expensive than the hotels downtown, and the parking is free. You can drive to Seattle or take the water taxi, which has a free shuttle stop in front of the motel to get you to the departure point. Our room was clean and had a microwave and mini fridge. The beds were very comfortable and the black out blinds worked well. Great continental breakfast, with fresh fruit, yogurt and cereal choices.
I would describe it as a "boutique motel". It is about 5 miles from downtown Seattle, and is much less expensive than the hotels downtown, and the parking is free. West Seattle was a great place to stay. There is a free shuttle that will take you around the area & down to the water taxi to Seattle. Many restaurants & shops within walking distance. They were very helpful and it was very clean. We would stay there again
Recently renovated. Clean, modern decor. Location close to everything in West Seattle. Did not use but comes with continental breakfast. All the staff from front desk to the housekeeping staff were very friendly. Will stay here again.
