The Greenhouse Tavern is a true gem in downtown Cleveland. Fantastic menu, knowledgeable and friendly staff, and an excellent meal that was out-of-this-world delicious. Items that you *must* try include the pea tartare, the foie gras steamed clams, the crispy chicken wings confit (with just the right amount of kick), the strip steak (it's Ohio Angus!), and, of course, the fried Brussel sprouts. Can't recommend the Greenhouse Tavern strongly enough. Thank you for a perfect meal!

The food is terrific. The quality of the ingredients, and the care with which they are prepared, makes The Greenhouse Tavern a culinary must in Cleveland. It's not stuffy or pretentious, overly trendy, or hipstery (I'm sure I just made that word up). And the staff is super accommodating. From the reservation to the check, everyone there made sure we felt important to them.

I feel kind of torn regarding our experience here on Saturday 4/28. I loved the atmosphere and the decor, and having read other reviews criticizing how close the tables were to each other, this didn't impact on our evening. In fact, we were able to strike up a lovely conversation with a couple who sat next to us. Upon reviewing the menu, our eyes were immediately attracted to the tasting menu. My husband and I stopped for an impromptu lunch after his appt at the VA Medical Center. I’m so glad we chose this place! Amazing service, fabulous food, and we loved the rooftop bar. Excellent place and would highly recommend to anyone. Its very rare to have a great overall experience anywhere these days. We were greeted by the hostess as soon as we walked in, she was smiling and polite, we asked to be seated at the bar which she encouraged.
