Highly attentive staff and the food is excellent. Probably my favorite dining atmosphere in town with quiet music and a professionally designed space.
I have been staying at the Kirkley for over five years and I have witnessed the evolution of The Great Room firsthand. The food has ALWAYS been delicious, the staff always super friendly, and the atmosphere is laid back (yet luxurious in a way). I have never had a bad meal or bad service here - even when using breakfast vouchers from student discounts. 28th Wedding Anniversary we had a great time with friends! We had Delmonico steaks wedge salad mashed potatoes and asparagus. Cheesecake for dessert.
My husband and I ate supper here on a Saturday evening. The food was excellent!!! The service was deplorable. The place was basically empty but the waiter wasn't very pleasant, didn't expand on the selections, after our order came out we didn't see him again! We finally went to the manager to pay since we never got our ticket. I noticed another couple came in and we're not served until the gentleman went and found a "server" they really need to retrain their wait staff. We are good tippers 20% plus but not this time........
The restaurant and bar staff went ago e and beyond. The hotel was great. We would definitely go again.
