Came to eat lunch at the gathering cafe with my 10 year old daughter before an appointment at MUSC. We both absolutely loved our meals, and my daughter was excited they had a big basket of crayons for her to occupy herself while the food was prepared! Very child friendly and an awesome, healthy kids menu. She loved her chicken & crushed potatoes with a side of fruit! I have been going to this great little restaurant since they opened. I have never been disappointed with my meal or the service. Tonight I had their special (Pesto Chicken Pizza) and a lite cobb salad. A friend and I split them both. OMG - they were both so good!! I love their beets, squash, cauliflower, sweet potatoes, etc. The salmon is cooked perfectly. They also at one time had cinnamon gelato - Oh Boy this was so yummy! We try our very best to deliver amazing food and amazing service. I'm not sure what day you came in it could have been a day when we were short staffed in the kitchen. Unfortunately when you are a small business owner you can't afford to have numbers of part time staff on hand when other staff get sick, or have personal issues that keep them from working. We had a wonderful delicious breakfast here this morning. The food was very tasty and healthy, the service was fast, and our waitress was very courteous and friendly. Highly recommend!

Our waitress was very pleasant and helpful. My omelet was good and the eggs Benedict was excellent. The potatoes were soggy but didn't affect our meal
I ordered the Mahi Mami special with a side of brown rice and roasted Brussels sprouts & red grapes. Everything was DELICIOUS! Service was timely and courteous. Will return!
