Amazing community of residents and staff!
Caring staff
Staff struggle interacting with Alzheimers patients. They need a great deal of training on de-escalation techniques, how to approach an Alzheimers patient, how to encourage them with normal activities of daily living. They do not have access to any cleaning supplies on afternoon and night shift. The cleaners are locked up and no staff have a key except day shift housekeeping. For skilled nursing, Like so many locations, the staff is spread thin. There as some really awesome caring cna’s and nurses. The meals are typical institution meals. Family caregivers need to advocate for the patients they love.
