The futon with mattress was $2000. The futon was simply non-feasible to operate. I have had three futons in my life and the product promise is: 1) it can be a flat bed 2) one person can easily convert it to a couch. Neither of these promises were fulfilled. The mattress is so heavy, you can’t change it from couch to futon and back without incredible strain and risk of back injury. I needed a custom size mattress and saw their comfort plus and thought I would give it a go. Mostly because I had few other choices for this awkward situation of needing a custom size. They totally came through for me and were super helpful and got it to me out of state in about a week and a half. And man this thing is way nicer than I was expecting it to be.

I am so sad, disappointed and yet relieved that I did not order a couch. Long story but was told the truth today by an honest sales person who told me I would not see it for 6 months (even though a week ago, someone in the same location told me 4-6 weeks AND the website cart said the exact same thing!) Additionally it's $700 to ship it two states away and they don't tell you that until it's in the cart. The website is horrific and it would take a detective to figure out how to order swatches. I purchased a futon from the Futon Shop for my vacation home on Jun 26, 2020. I opened it four days later and put the futon cover on it before it fully expanded, and then I left for a couple of weeks. When I got back, I noticed a slight chemical smell in the house. I thought it maybe still needed to air out a bit, so I waited a couple more weeks, and the smell got stronger. Futon Shop has the most horrible customer service ever. I ordered 2 silk masks and 5 filters. The large mask was defective. One side was 1/2 in longer than the other side. One of the filters were torn. Mistakes happen. It's a pain but I emailed customer service right away and included pictures. I got no response. I asked for updates and ended up sending another request. No response from Futon Shop. In fact, I never got a response until I started my dispute with PayPal. DO NOT BUY from this company. I ordered and "Organic" crib mattress for my child and it had been sprayed with some sort of insecticide. I'm an organic farmer and I'm very familiar with the smells of herbicides, fungicides and insecticides. This was a deep disappointment as I really thought I was purchasing an affordable Organic mattress for my child who has health issues. It is sitting in storage wrapped in the plastic and box it was shipped in until I figure out how to dispose of it.

Their customer service is horrible. I ordered a simple futon cover that took much longer to arrive than stated and when it finally got here, it was the wrong color. I tried calling and emailing to get the right one or a refund and I can't even get a confirmation that they shipped the right one after 2 weeks. Absolutely unacceptable customer service - steer clear.
