I go here because Ive lived downtown for five years, it's convenient and the atmosphere is nice. Over the past couple years, the service has dramatically gone downhill. Orders are consistently wrong, constant attitudes are given to customers, and I'm fairly certain the only requirement to work here these days is to be a moody teen. I'm someone who works in customer service downtown, I manage a shop, it's not for everyone. Relaxed, friendly environment. Great coffee and great food. Just don't sit at my workout crews favorite table when we're there ☺.
Worst espresso from an actual roaster ever. No crema and weak body, poorly done. What a shame. You would think that an actual roaster would employ people who know how to make an espresso.
Had a bit of miscommunication with a lunch order a few weeks back, and was a bit frustrated. Needless to say, a very kind employee fixed our lunch order and didn't charge for the extra sandwich. Her comment, "we just want to make sure people are happy." Such a kind gesture during the rush of their day. Thank you for your kindness! This place has delicious soups, sandwiches, coffee and great friendly staff!
