As a replica of Bent's Fort, it's a cultural crossroads on the historic Santa Fe Trail. This area institution, which has been reviewed in the New York Times, serves up southwestern fare to everyone from lounging locals to heads of state including President Clinton during 1997's economic summit. Scrumptious servings of buffalo and elk tantalize the tongue. More traditional fare like salmon, filet mignon and even a vegetarian plate is also available. Open Monday to Friday at 5:30pm and at 5:00pm on Saturdays and Sundays.

The Fort is another iconic landmark place to take people from out of state. Good food and in the recreated fort which was a fur trading post back in the 1840's. The original stands in Southern Colorado. Great atmosphere and location. A must see place along with Red Rocks near there.
Was honored to review the restaurant for the Spring Issue of Native Max Magazine!
The Fort has a 4.4 star rating with 4,115 reviews.
The Fort is closed now. It will open at 9:00 a.m.
