As a replica of Bent's Fort, it's a cultural crossroads on the historic Santa Fe Trail. This area institution, which has been reviewed in the New York Times, serves up southwestern fare to everyone from lounging locals to heads of state including President Clinton during 1997's economic summit. Scrumptious servings of buffalo and elk tantalize the tongue. More traditional fare like salmon, filet mignon and even a vegetarian plate is also available. Open Monday to Friday at 5:30pm and at 5:00pm on Saturdays and Sundays.

We were in town from Illinois & people recommended The Fort for our anniversary dinner. We had the best time! Ruth, our server, was very knowledgeable & helpful with our orders. We had the beef filet & the bison filet along with the wild mushrooms side. The bison was phenomenal. We would both order it again! The wild mushrooms were probably the best we've ever had. I highly recommend it!
Husband and I just ate here for the first time tonight for our anniversary. Delicious!!! Great atmosphere, great staff....Loved it!!!
We were in Denver over the 4/20 weekend and this was our second trip to Colorado. The first time we were there we ate here and enjoyed it so much that we came back again! My wife insists she had the best steak of her life here. The service is excellent, the food is to die for, and the atmosphere is phenomenal!! Thank you for a great time!!
