Went there last night for an appetizer and drink with a friend. Really neat place and the app was delicious! My only criticism is that it's too bright in the bar area and several areas of the restaurant. A little low lighting would do wonders for the ambiance. Soft, warm lighting would make it more appealing. Funny thing to mention, I know, but lighting is huge in a bar/restaurant area. Otherwise, everything was perfect!!

I ate their Saturday the restaurant is awesome looking ,however the food not so awesome I ordered rock fish, it was very dry and I'm glad I'm not a vegan as the mashed potatoes had beef gravy mixed in. I'm wasn't impressed ..

My husband and I along with friends of ours were in tonight for a very scrumptious dinner! We shared the lamb meatballs & calamari for starters. We loved the lemon aioli that came with the calamari. The tzatziki sauce that was with the meatballs rated high as well. I had the salmon my husband had the fish & chips. Both cooked to perfection, everything well seasoned. The food and drinks were absolutely delicious! We've told family and friends that the First Post should be on the top of their dining out list! Our server, Laura was very polite, efficient, and had a great sense of humor! We will definitely be back with our family and friends!

Well, I was going for a 'really good food'. The waitress had a bad attitude, I ordered a lamb burger, got it with a bag of chips, what costs 25c. The other order was a steak, with some kind of uncooked potato. I'm very disappointed...
Beautiful inside, amazing food & craft cocktails!
We were so excited to try out this restaurant, but were very disappointed. The hostess started to seat the 6 of us (3 couples) at 2 separate tables (3 @ each) and was reluctant to move the tables so we could sit together, but did. We were seated in an area where we were blinded by the setting sun (put menus on the windows and it fixed it), our waitress was very unenthusiastic about her job, never told us the specials and kept taking our drink menus from us discouraging us from ordering more beers on tap or specialty drinks. ... read more

We stopped on our way through town and were pleased to find The First Post. Seated almost immediately, service was top notch ( thanks Zoey), food was great, and we liked the décor. We will be back! Great food, great service, - what more can you ask for?
