We are on the road for two weeks and this has been the best food we have eaten. The quality of the food and the preparation were phenomenal. There were five different appetizers and four different entries, and each were superb. The drinks were wonderful. The wine list is small but thoughtful and contains just about every type of wine you would need. The Willamette Valley pinot noir we chose was excellent. Staff is friendly, smart, and attentive. I love this place.
Everything about our experience at The Fiddlehead Restaurant was wonderful. I am from Wisconsin and it is difficult/impossible to get a good Brandy Old Fashion outside of Wisconsin. Laura did a fabulous job. We had a party of five and so we had a wide variety off the menu. We shared with each other and there were no disappointments. ALL the food was fresh, flavorful , and cooked to perfection. ALL the staff were attentive, interactive, and just plain fun. I would highly recommend this restaurant!
It is a good place to have a nice dinner for a special event. A good comfortable atmosphere, with good food and drinks makes it a must to eat at.
This was our first time at the Fiddlehead Restaurant. From the moment we walked in the door Laura and all of her staff made us feel like we were friends. It was by far the BEST service that we've had anywhere in a very long time. I have been to The Fiddlehead twice now. I live in Florida but when I visit Maine, this is my favorite place to go. My brother took me here for my birthday last month and it was fantastic! Not just the food,but the staff is beyond reproach! A great place for a date, special occasion, or just because!
An incredible culinary experience, the service was excellent, and the food exceptional. The owner took the time to seat us and talk with us about the specials and where our food was coming from. We felt like we were the only people in the restaurant because of how attentive the staff was. My husband and I would drive the 3+ hours from home just to visit again it was that good.
My wife and I were in town for a wedding and decided to find a place for dinner, we were amazed at this place, the hostess (who I believe was the owner) was attentive and took the time to ask us our names while she described at length the specials and the overall idea of the menu. As far as the food goes, I have eaten at restaurants all over the country and for the caliber of food we enjoyed to have come out of a small place in Bangor Maine, was outstanding. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone!!! Five stars!!!
