Top notch food and menu selection. Monroe needs a restaurant like this. The Fat Pelican prepares their food, it doesn't come from a box and heated in a microwave, like so many other restaurants do these days. Quality always costs a little more, but it is worth it.

I have had lunch from here a couple of time in the past 2 weeks catered to our office and everything we ordered was delicious. So tonight we went there for dinner. It was amazing. Jz had the swordfish special and I had roasted chicken with cous cous. Let's just say The Fat Pelican is now one of our favorite restaurants. Can't wait to go back.

On Wednesday (7-29-15) my friend and I went here for lunch. No bread plates were brought out with the store purchased rolls. We had to request. We ordered a Cobb Salad and when the waiter brought it out, the chicken tasted as if it had been grilled the week before and contained large pieces of gristle and the lettuce held over a steam kettle the same week. Was awful. Our bill had the wrong price, which was corrected. Wendy's is far better. We will not return.
I love to eat here. The food is awesome everytime!

Absolutely one of my favorite restaurants in Monroe! We went with a group of friends and had almost every dish on the menu and everyone loved every item. The pork chop was awesome, the opah fish special was so good, and I'm not a huge fan of salmon, and one of our friends let me try theirs and I am hooked. We met the chefs and owner, and they are a great group. Staff is top notch and aims to please. Drinks are all great as well! Try the brisket jalapeños and the duck empanadas!
