Located in Soho, The Dutch is a restaurant that serves New American cuisine. The dining room evokes a kind of modern tavern-like feel, with lots of dark polished wood and exposed brick. The menu features a rather impressive oyster and raw bar selection, as well as classically inspired American dishes with modern twists, like Shrimp with Red Remoulade, Pecan Duck with Celery and Organic Dirty rice, as well as a selection of prime cuts like steaks and chops. The Dutch has a popular brunch on the weekends with patio dining.

Continue to be a hit place for brunch. The donuts were melt in your mouth. And Just when you think your table can’t finish 7, it’s gone. The smoked salmon sandwich with perfectly scrambled eggs and just the right amount of caviar made my Saturday. And that Virgin Mary was delicious! And of course, the fried chicken is always a winner. I only wish they’d accommodate my request for all dark meat.
Good place. Fun surroundings, food was terrific and staff were exceptional. My first visit, on recommendation. Shall return. So why not 5 stars? Only because it was INCREDIBLY noisy. There was a screamingly raucous table of four next to us - no fault of the restaurant - but we simply couldn’t hear ourselves think. It was exhausting and spoiled it for us. We stayed till they eventually left, but even then the general level of noise was quite loud. That was the only downside though. There to eat? Terrific. There for a good cha... read more
A wide ranging menu allowed us to pair oysters with Asian- and soul food-inspired entrees, many of which run in the $40-50 range. A good place to go with someone who’ll treat you :) The scene at the bar is worth checking out
My son took us here after the comedy show. Had reservations but had to wait a bit for our table. It was well worth the wait. Food was delicious. Four of us shared the hot fried chicken, rack of lamb & the ribeye steak for two. All of this food was delicious. Staff was excellent. Will definitely go back next time I am in NYC.
