I went yesterday to The Dutch per recommendation of the concierge of our hotel located nearby and we, my son and I, were not disappointed! Very good service and delicious food. Super service. One tip: you have to eat the delicious cheesecake that comes with sour ice cream that matches perfectly! Do not lose the opportunity. As we say in Brazil, it is something to eat praying for the Gods! Great Breakfast Martini, a delicious salad, and the fried chicken is everything you've read about... also really good service!
Altho very pricey, it was worth it. The ambiance was lively, but not so loud (except when the Ambulance went by with sireen on!) that we had difficulty hearing each other. The service was top notch; professional, seamless & friendly. The Food and wine were worth coming back for another try at more of the menu. The seafood (Oysters, Shrimp, etc) was top shelf (and tasty), the trout was the best I've ever had and the fried chicken got top marks too. What a delight! From my strawberry gimlet, roasted peach & snap pea salad with lavender vinaigrette dressing, fried chicken and honey biscuit through the blueberry pie with homemade peach ice cream ... it was all a symphony of flavors and textures .... now add the décor, our waitress and the comfort of our table it was such a treat on a rainy night in SoHo.
