About this business

Welcome to the Dinner Bell, where our diners sit around large round lazy susan style tables loaded with a large selection of good down home cooking. You simply spin the lazy susan and within your reach are huge quantities of comfort food including the house specialty, fried eggplant. When any serving dish starts getting empty, out comes a full one from the kitchen. To drink with all this good food, there is only one proper thirst quencher, ice cold sweet tea

I’ve been several times before. Yesterday my husband and I took my sister. I enjoyed the baked chicken, stewed squash, Lima beans, boiled cabbage, field peas, beets and sweet tea with lemon. My sister said she’d go back.😊

One of the best meals I’ve eaten in about half a year. It was a fantastic and fun experience. I went alone and didn’t feel alone. I was seated with complete strangers and left with knowing a little about eat one. Kind and welcoming people. The food was phenomenal. I have never been moved to request to speak to the chefs before. I ended up hugging the chefs thanking them for such a wonderful meal. If you miss home, miss home cooking, want a Thanksgiving-style meal, this is your place. Wonderful experience. We will be back ver... read more

Great. Better if you pay tip at table. That way YOUR server gets it.

Great food, deserts and company. We found this place as we were traveling. I always try to find good southern food when traveling through Mississippi. I wasn’t disappointed. Only complaint was the long wait but they said that this weekend and next are the busiest of the year due to festivals in the area. We had fried chicken, ribs, fried eggplant, corn on cob, potato salad, green beans, lima beans, red beans, corn bread, squash, rice, gravy, cabbage, mexican corn, brownies and killer banana pudding.

The food was all so bland and everybody was heard in like a head of cattle. My wife went to the dressing room when leaving and said it was one of the filthiest restroom she has ever been in. I would not recommend this restaurant.
