We took engagement photos and they turned out great!
It is by far beautiful and gives you a sense of calmness. Everything I love. Love to take walks and picnics there.
Rosemarie and I are long time members of Dawes, we discovered it in the 60's and have going there since. A great place to spend the day and take photo's and enjoy all the different trees and flowers and hiking. I have spent many hours painting landscape and enjoy the inspiration Dawes affords, truly a great place to take children. I encourage everyone to become members. It also inspired me to have my own Bonsai collection, a past member of the Bonsai Club.
I have always loved Dawes, but is especially important to my family now since we got engaged there, had maternity photos there, and now share it with our son.
Licking County's beautiful amazing treasure especially now in the Fall Absolutely 'a must visit' if you love Autumn colors, trees, birds and nature. There are walking trails but the auto tour is awesome as well..I live in Newark and am an artist/art instructor and feel so lucky to have such an incredibly inspiring place for artistic creativity. Never ever will get tired of visiting Dawes...Love that place but I love trees.
Best place for quiet contemplation and peaceful walk.
