About this business
History of our building dates back to 1928. It started out as a feed and storage depot in the 20's. Supplies came by boat and rail. After that business, the building has been used as a Scotty's, Motorcycle repair shop, & Flea Market. The building was then abandoned for quite a few years. Then in 1998, it was rebuilt inside out and became a restaurant called Sunset Steakhouse. The top layer of roof was blown off in 2001 and the building and restaurant was sold. June 4, 2001 The Crazy Gator was opened by Beth and Steve Robin.

Went there yesterday ordered wings waitress comes back ten minutes later and says we are out of wings.WTH
Went in for a party of 15 tonight and had the worst food ever. Ordered a steak taco salad it was lettuce and cheese in a bowl. Ordered steak rare it was so tough I couldn't chew it. Others in the party had bad food also. And it took over and hour to get our food.
Thank you so very much to the staff at the Crazy Gator! Denise and Melissa worked non stop to help make sure that our 30th Anniversary Party ran smoothly. All our guests have since remarked that the service was superb, and the food was delicious! We will be back!!
Wouldn't recommend the gator bites, all dark meat. Very disappointed.
Pulled in by boat yesterday. Great dock access. Food was great, Fish basket and Shrimp basket. Nicole was our server and she did a great job.
We came after visiting light up Eustis and I was skeptical bc I heard they do a good amount of seafood fried. Usually no matter what I there is fishy aftertaste to non fish items. Not here!! We had 7 in our party with kids and everyone was super nice, prompt service and great food!! I wish I remembered our servers name she was a tall brown haired lady she was very good! Every one left full and happy! We will be back for sure!
Came for the thanksgiving dinner and must say enjoyed every bit of it. We are from Maryland and make a point to always stop in. Just a side note my boyfriend fell in love with Jennifer 3 years ago so thats the real reason we go!! � Hope everyone working that day had a Happy Thanksgiving!!
Always have a good time when we’re there .. food and booze good plus you can take a nice walk on the docks
