We dine here 6-8 times year and would do so more often if we lived closer. Every meal has been exceptional. Tonight one of us had liver and onions, the other had Shepard pie. Both meals were superb - meals like Mother would have made if she had been a great cook. Our waitress, Ellen, was outstanding. From the moment we enter until we left, was a lovely experience.
Always a pleasure to eat at the Cottage Café. Tonight was St. Patrick's Day and it was excellent. I had the Shepard's Pie made with short ribs. Our server, Ellen, made us feel right at home and was always there when needed and didn't "hover" like some servers do at other places. While we usually "save" this place for special occasions as it is so reliable, we have decided we need to go more often this year.
